چکیده

Fish and meat production processing will grow drastically in the coming decades. In aquacultural systems, insects are gaining interest as feed to provide a sustainable alternative fishmeal paradox, whose leads high consumption of resources negative environmental impacts. Within scope this study, fish from Hermetia illucens larvae Lemna minor an inline recirculating aquaponics model for urban sites was developed optimized, which efficiently combines waste service concepts one system. At same time, value chain produces high-quality, market-accessible raw materials industry. All investigations were accompanied by comparative Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) measure compare ecological effects finally result alternatives. The results achieved research show that based on can have potential be ecologically competitive or more than standard feed. It should noted comparison here represents project pilot scale. Various optimization potentials shown, essential large-scale implementation breeding both species well their up pellets.

Isolation and morphological study of ecologically-important insect “Hermetia illucens” collected from Roorkee compost plant

Certain species of Hermetia illucens, also known as the Black Soldier Fly(BSF), were found in a compost plant in Roorkee located in Northern India. Its larvae arevoracious eaters of organic waste, hence can play an ecologically-important role in solidwaste management. Morphological analysis of various stages of BSF life cycle by SEMshowed that its body along with its wings is densely covered wi...

Bottom-up nutrient and top-down fish impacts on insect-mediated mercury flux from aquatic ecosystems.

Methyl mercury (MeHg) is one of the most hazardous contaminants in the environment, adversely affecting the health of wildlife and humans. Recent studies have demonstrated that aquatic insects biotransport MeHg and other contaminants to terrestrial consumers, but the factors that regulate the flux of MeHg out of aquatic ecosystems via emergent insects have not been studied. The authors used exp...

Molecular analyses of Salmonella enterica isolates from fish feed factories and fish feed ingredients.

Isolates of the most commonly observed salmonella serovars in Norwegian fish feed factories from 1998 to 2000 (Salmonella enterica serovar Agona, S. enterica serovar Montevideo, S. enterica serovar Senftenberg, and S. enterica serovar Kentucky) were studied by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) and plasmid profile analysis and compared to isolates of the same serovars from fish feed ingred...
